RAACH SOLAR moves into new design-building headquarters

Dettingen an der Iller, Germany 01.08.2019

RAACH SOLAR is growing in turnover and staff and moves to a new office building in the city of Erolzheim, Germany in August 2019. The building is a “plus energy house” which means it produces more energy than it consumes including heating and cooling. Raach Solar has designed and implemented a 66kWp photovoltaic power system on the flat roof. The building’s architecture is based on sustainability through its wood construction from local trees and uses a geothermal heating system. There are two 11kW design-charging stations for electric vehicles, which are directly supplied by the solar power system.

The photovoltaic system consists of solar modules from the manufacturer SUNPOWER of the latest generation each 400Wp nominal power at only 1,6m² surface per module with 25% solar cells efficiency. It is combined by three inverters from the manufacturer SMA with almost 99% peak efficiency.

„The target is to set an example for a state of the art architecturally striking design, sustainability and fight against climate change. The new premises allow us to double our turnover and staff within the next four years. Together with the team of the Business und Beraterforums Illertal (BBF) we can offer comprehensive solutions. We thank the owner that we can be part of the team” says general manager Jürgen Raach.
